Metal: standard, double bass, skank, blast
A survey of four metal grooves to repeat for weeks: Standard Metal over double-bass sixteenths, a slow build-up of the traditional blast, a kick-and-china riff and the thrash skank beat, ending on the Blast Beat at 130. You need a double pedal or two bass drums, and a china (any crash will do). It assumes the Double bass: sixteenths path, with alternating sixteenths steady near 100. Rest whenever your legs or forearms tighten. A song to play along with every day (one track).
This path is self-guided practice: each day you work against a reference the app plays and judge your own progress. DrumShed does not listen to your playing, score your accuracy, or measure your timing. Enrolling is an All Access feature ($5.99/mo, or lifetime with Founding Member); free members can browse the whole plan in the app first.
