Your metronome, your notebook, and your woodshed — in one app.
For iPhone, iPad & Android.

None of them are a willpower problem. They’re friction — and a home base is what takes the friction out.
What should I even work on today?
Twenty minutes of deciding, then you're back on YouTube.
Same groove, same fill, same comfortable tempo.
You haven't surprised yourself in months.
The click gets boring in four minutes.
Then it’s just you and a record, and the disciplined part never happens.
The best beat you wrote this week showed up in the car.
By the time you reach the kit, it's already gone.
Built by drummers, for drummers — DrumShed™ is the home base for everything you play.
Every beat and fill you build becomes something you can slow down and learn.
Build beats the way music actually works
A guided wizard walks you through kick-snare foundation, embellishments, cymbals, sticking, and hi-hat foot — with real musical reasoning at every layer. Or open the full pattern editor and place every hit yourself — then loop it, slow it down, and build it up to tempo.

36,700+ stickings, 18 accent shapes, 11 voice strategies
Choose your sticking, preview how it lays across the bar, dial in accents and flams, then route it to voices. Every decision is musical — not random.

Activity feed, pattern discovery, and high-fives — your drumming network, live
Browse beats and fills from drummers around the world. Filter by genre, difficulty, time signature, or BPM. Clone anything you like, star your favorites, and share your own creations with a link anyone can open straight into the app.

The Activity tab is a live feed of what people you follow are actually doing — which drills they're running, sessions they completed, and patterns they just published. High-five anything, or replay their exact drill or full session in one tap.

Describe any groove in plain English, hear it back
Ask for a specific beat, fill, or session in plain English — and get exactly that. Musical, playable on a real kit, and ready to edit. It thinks like a drummer.

Surgical tools for every gap in your time
Each drill targets something specific. Click Displacement rewires how you hear the pulse. Polyrhythm builds independence. Time Signature Builder breaks down odd meters. Dynamic Control sequences crescendos and decrescendos. These aren't exercises — they're surgical tools.

The full pattern editor. Live playback views. Your library & collections. Hands-free sessions. Stats & history. The full feature set, unpacked.
See all featuresPolyrhythms. Odd meters. Advanced click patterns. Most apps charge for these. DrumShed™ gives it all away — because if the free tool is this good, you'll know what the rest is worth.

I have to say the AI working on the first try for that Meters beat (New Orleans style) really impressed me.
I think the real strength here is that it's a good balance of being user friendly, but also providing enough technical feature granularity to really make what you want. I feel like that second part is missing from most stuff like this. Like, all the features are truly impressive — I'm excited to actually practice with this.
Being able to save and organize all the ideas I have in a place that allows me to hear and practice them is clutch. Plus the tools that help me create new ideas when I'm feeling in a rut.
